Argentina and the US prepare an arms business conference with companies in the sector

Political officials from both nations and authorities from the armed forces will be part of a day of debate on current innovation projects in defense and security. The objective is to develop a workshop with businessmen in the sector to establish possible businesses within the framework of bilateral relations.

Innovation and weapons technology, as well as the Projects of the Argentine Armed Forces, will be presented to propose business with North American companies.

The Army Engineering Faculty , located at Av. Cabildo 25, in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, will host the Bilateral Conference on “Opportunities and challenges in the field of Defense Industry between Argentina and the United States .”

The meeting will take place on June 26 starting at 9 in the morning , with the presence of the Argentine Minister of Defense, Dr. Luis Petri, and the Ambassador of the United States of America, Marc Stanley.

At 3:30 p.m. a workshop will take place between Argentine and North American companies in the defense sector. In addition, political authorities of the Nation and members of the Armed Forces will attend.

The Secretary of International Defense Affairs of Argentina, Mg., will speak. Juan Battaleme , and officials from the US Defense Attaché Office . They will talk about bilateral cooperation relations between both countries and international defense policy .

The analysis of topics such as weapons technology , current projects of the Argentine Armed Forces and business possibilities with private companies is expected.

From the Zona Militar media they reported that a group of US companies have already confirmed their attendance. These are Bell Flight, General Dynamics Land Systems, Airbus US Space & Defense, Maxar, Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU), Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Defense Exports & Cooperation, Georgia Tech Research Institute, Georgia Institute of Technology, DASD WHEM Desk Officer, and OSD Science and Technology Cooperation, together with representatives of the Department of State (TBD).

They added that " all these firms will be in contact with Argentine companies linked to the defense and security sectors ."
