The Court of Justice of Tierra del Fuego suspended the elections to reform the Constitution

The decision was made unanimously. It gave rise to the legal action presented by legislator Jorge Lechman. Melella has 30 days to try to reverse the measure

The STJ Resolution that puts a stop to Governor Melella's re-election aspirations.

The five judges of the Superior Court of Justice of the Province of Tierra del Fuego resolved to give rise to the judicial action presented by Legislator Jorge Lechman of Somos Fueguinos against the Constitutional Reform promoted by the provincial Executive, until the substantive ruling is issued.

Governor G ustavo Melella, promoter of the electoral process for the reform of 70 articles of the Fuegian Constitution and with it, the possibility of a third term; has 30 days to defend the legality of the electoral call published last Tuesday, July 30.

The Fuegian Court notified the State Attorney and the legislature of the measure.
