The Deliberative Council of the city of Ushuaia took the first step towards the creation of the Tourism, Antarctica and Malvinas Islands Commission . It will be in charge of evaluating projects related to entrepreneurship, tourist services, tourism in Antarctica, social issues and the confirmation of sovereign rights .
The initiative was promoted by councilor Yesica Garay and obtained unanimous approval in the last ordinary session of the Deliberative Council of the Fuegian capital.
Furthermore, during it, a decree was approved that modified the internal regulations of the Municipal Parliament . Now, all that remains is for the councilors to agree who will lead the Commission and determine the members who will make it up so that they can begin working in this new space.
