A plane accident occurred this Tuesday afternoon in the Ilihue sector, in the town of Lago Ranco, in the Los Ríos Region.

The helicopter plunged into the middle of the water.

Former ministers and personal friends of Piñera confirmed to Ex-Ante that Piñera was on board the plane, where 2 people died and 3 were saved.

Piñera was leaving the house of his friend, businessman José Cox, when he took off in the helicopter.

On the helicopter were, among others, businessman Ignacio Guerrero, a son of Guerrero and Magdalena Piñera, as well as the former President.
