The controversial and polemical visit to the Casa Rosada by former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Monday afternoon surprised everyone. No one understood what Johnson was doing there and it was not known why he had come to Argentina.
It was later revealed that the former British Conservative leader arrived in Argentina as part of the tour to present his autobiographical book “Unleashed,” which was recently published in the United Kingdom.
As reported by Infobae , “the meeting was arranged at the request of the Argentine president,” adding that upon leaving, Johnson “confirmed that he gave the libertarian leader a copy of the book.”
Minutes before leaving the Rosada, Johnson went out onto the historic balcony overlooking the Plaza de Mayo - invited by Javier Milei - to provocatively greet the few passers-by who were passing by.
Sources from the Presidency commented that there was a "good rapport" between the two, to the point that "they quickly arranged a visit by Milei to England, still undated, during which the president will be able to meet Mick Jagger," reported Perfil.
Apparently, Javier Milei "commented to Johnson his desire to meet the Stones' vocalist, to which the former prime minister replied that he would personally take charge of organizing the meeting," added Perfil.
The reason for such an extravagant request was based, according to Perfil , on the fact that Javier Milei , in his youth “sang in a rock band dedicated to doing versions of songs by The Rolling Stones, and the president himself commented on more than one occasion that in those shows he imitated Jagger's characteristic movements and dances on stage.”
Milei 's obsession with Jagger is not new. Página|12 published that: “As soon as Milei assumed the presidency, the Chancellor of the United Kingdom, David Cameron, called him to congratulate him and he had also told him about his interest in meeting Jagger.”
In addition to Mick Jagger , Milei and Johnson spoke about the concert that Paul McCartney gave a few days ago at the River stadium.
