Malvinas Veterans Centers launch campaigns to help fight the fires in El Bolsón

Malvinas veterans from Río Negro and Chubut announced solidarity campaigns for basic supplies to help fight the fire and collaborate with those affected by the fires in El Bolsón. More than 3,400 hectares have been devastated, with more than 1,000 people evacuated and 120 houses destroyed.

The initiatives of the Malvinas Veterans highlight the importance of joining forces in crisis contexts.

 

Former Malvinas combatants from the province of Río Negro have launched an initiative to help those affected by the forest fires in the town of El Bolsón .

With more than 3,400 hectares of native forest devastated, more than 1,000 evacuated and at least 120 homes destroyed , the situation remains critical.

Given this situation, the Malvinas Veterans have organized a campaign to collect basic supplies that will be sent to the victims of this emergency .

This was reported by Rubén Pablos , head of the Malvinas War Veterans Directorate of Río Negro , who stated that " we are committed to transporting and delivering the donations to the responsible personnel in El Bolsón, certifying that the supplies will reach those who need them ."

It is our way of giving back the affection that the people give us. It is good for us to help in whatever way we can ,” explained the representative.

The list of requested products includes essential items for victim care and firefighting , such as Platsul for burns, body cream , eye drops , gloves, face masks , protective glasses , work clothes , leather boots , tools and materials for fighting the fire. In addition, warm items such as blankets , towels and bed linen are requested.

In turn, the Malvinas Veterans Center of Comodoro Rivadavia has also launched a similar action to support the brave combatants who are on the front line of fighting the fires .

In this case, starting Monday, February 10 , the center receives urgent donations of supplies necessary to protect those who risk their lives in this arduous task.

The call is clear: every effort counts. Overalls, boots, gloves and face masks are just some of the essential items they are seeking to collect .
