The activity is part of a broader agenda that will take place during March and April, within the framework of the 44th anniversary of the start of the Malvinas War.

The exhibition “This land, our homeland” is aimed at both educational institutions and the community in general, with the objective of offering an approach to the history of the Malvina Islands from a documentary and artistic perspective.

Through maps, historical documents and watercolor paintings, the exhibition addresses the first claims of Argentine sovereignty, with special emphasis on the context after the usurpation of 1833.

During the exhibition period, visitors will be able to access a space oriented towards reflection and learning, designed to convey the meaning of the Malvinas cause to different generations.

The initiative seeks to reaffirm the community's commitment to defending national sovereignty, as well as to maintain permanent recognition of the veterans of the 1982 war.

The municipality indicated that the activity is part of a broader agenda that will take place during March and April, within the framework of a new anniversary of the Malvinas War.

With this type of proposal, the Municipal State seeks to strengthen the process of Malvinas awareness in the city of Río Grande, promoting instances of encounter and collective construction around historical memory.
