Javier Milei, between impeachment and treason

It is for promoting self-determination for the British colony established in the Malvinas Islands. There have already been two complaints: the first from the Confederation of Malvinas Combatants of the Argentine Republic before the Federal Court, and the second from the CECIM of La Plata before the National Chamber of Deputies.

Javier Milei, leading the event on Malvinas Veterans and Fallen Soldiers Day, held at Plaza San Martín in Buenos Aires, on April 2.

This Thursday, April 3, the president of the Confederation of Malvinas Combatants of the Argentine Republic, Ramón Robles , accompanied by his lawyer, Dr. Walter Di Giusepp e, filed a criminal complaint against the President of the Nation, Javier Milei , considering that he could have incurred in the "crimes of violation of the duties of a public official, abuse of authority and treason to the Homeland, in accordance with articles 248 et seq. and 214 et seq. and concordant of the Penal Code."

In one of its paragraphs, it is stated that: "The current government is once again insisting on the 'Kelper seduction theory', which has served the British so well over the decades to reduce the costs of their colonial occupation, harming the Argentine interest enshrined in the First Transitory Provision of the National Constitution."

The complaint filed by the Confederation originated in the statements made by the President of the Nation, Javier Milei , during his speech at the official ceremony on the morning of April 2, in front of the monument to those who fell in the war, when he took a position totally contrary to what has been the historical claim based on the principle of sovereignty and territorial integrity that the Argentine Republic has historically upheld and even at odds with what our National Constitution mandates.

The CECIM of La Plata requests impeachment proceedings against Milei

For its part, the Malvinas Islands Veterans Center in La Plata (CECIM) yesterday presented to the Honorable Chamber of Deputies of the Nation a formal request for impeachment proceedings against the President of the Nation, Javier Gerardo Milei, for poor performance in his duties and for the alleged commission of public action crimes , based on his statements made on April 2 at the official ceremony for Malvinas Veterans and Fallen Day.

"From CECIM we express our deepest condemnation of the president's statements ," the former combatants stated, denouncing that what the President of the Nation did was "implicitly validate the principle of self-determination of the islanders, a mechanism that the United Kingdom has used for decades to perpetuate colonialism in the South Atlantic."

The president of CECIM, Rodolfo Carrizo, and his secretary of Human Rights, Ernesto Alonso, accompanied by their lawyer, Dr. Jerónimo Guerrero Iraola , reported: "We have formally requested a hearing before the Impeachment Committee of the Honorable Chamber of Deputies, in order to personally present the grounds for the request."

As we stated on April 2, Milei spoke to the Kelpers, not the Argentines, when he proposed self-determination for the population settled in the Malvinas, hoping that the usurpers would support him and choose to cease being British.
