The incident occurred last December, promoted by the armies of Chile and the United Kingdom of Great Britain. The little information published indicates that the Lautaro Special Operations Brigade of the Chilean Army “received the Royal Gurkha Fusiliers for joint training.”
"The Royal Gurkhas are preparing to train Chilean personnel in their experienced combat exercises," said hours earlier the American website SA_Defensa (South American & Global Defense News), which specializes in military analysis of what is happening in South American countries.

The Gurkhas were mercenary soldiers brought by the British Army to fight in the Malvinas War; they were known for their cruelty towards the Argentine soldiers who had surrendered, slaughtering them with their large, curved knives, which they called Kukri .
“The English came screaming and climbing the slope without protecting themselves. They had put the Gurkas in front of them, who were drugged and listening to music with their Sony Walkmans attached to their ears, laughing and shooting. We were shooting at them with everything we had, but they didn't care. They got into a minefield and jumped into the air, but they kept going up ,” an Argentine soldier told the Spanish press. “Some kids threw down their weapons and surrendered, but the Gurkas skinned them with their knives (…)”; described the same ex-combatant, coinciding with countless testimonial accounts from other soldiers.
Neither diplomacy nor the Chilean Armed Forces, therefore, nor the government of Gabriel Boric , could have overlooked those who were allowed to enter their country; nor the symbolic significance for Argentine society that the Nepalese in service to the British crown, instructed and carried out joint exercises with this trans-Andean combat unit. Even less the provocation to which they opened the door, promoted by the cynicism and impudence of the English.
In reality, it was a month-long training session. But on April 2nd, the "Corporate Operation" took place; the Chilean Juan Pablo Berlinger posted in the same tone on his X account.
It was actually a one month training.
