This Saturday, a 59-year-old British tourist died mid-flight while traveling from the Malvina Islands to the city of Punta Arenas, capital of the Magallanes region of Chile.
According to reports, the man was heading to the city of Punta Arenas to make a connection with the city of Santiago.
Detectives of the Punta Arenas Homicide Brigade, together with experts from the PDI Regional Criminalistics Laboratory, went to the premises of the Carlos Ibáñez del Campo Airport.
Deputy Commissioner Diego Díaz of the Punta Arenas Homicide Brigade provided some details about what happened : “In the afternoon, upon instruction from the Prosecutor's Office, detectives from the Punta Arenas Homicide Brigade moved to the Carlos Ibáñez del Campo Airport, due to "because a 59-year-old person of British nationality died inside a plane while traveling from the Malvinas Islands to this city (Punta Arenas) to make the connection to Santiago," he explained.
