The announcement that Warrah Resources Limited has received approval to conduct 27 exploratory drillings for diamonds and gold in the Goose Green area is much more than a colonial administrative formality. It represents the expansion of the British strategy of plunder : after decades of depleting fishing resources and advancing on offshore oil, the target is now shifting to the mineral wealth of the islands themselves.
1. The "Modus Operandi" of Modern Looting
What the Malvina Islands press presents as " technological innovation" (use of magnetic drones and ground penetration radars), from the Argentine perspective is the sophistication of theft.

2. Violation of International Law
These unilateral actions by the United Kingdom systematically ignore UN General Assembly Resolution 31/49 , which urges both parties to refrain from taking decisions that would introduce unilateral changes to the situation while the islands are undergoing the process of decolonization.
Each 47-millimeter hole drilled into the Malvina Islands is a direct wound to national sovereignty and a violation of the territorial integrity of the Argentine Republic. Moreover, Goose Green was the site of one of the most intense battles between Argentine and British troops in 1982. Therefore, the blood of heroes who gave their lives for their country is there.
3. The Mirage of Environmental Sustainability
The data in the report published by Mercopress mentions an "Environmental Management Plan" (EMP) which, coincidentally, the colonial authorities consider sufficient to not require further controls.
4. The Necessary Reaction: Background of Sanctions
Argentina has a robust legal framework (such as Laws 26,659 and 26,915 ) to sanction companies that operate illegally within its territory.
In a nation whose rulers are concerned with a staunch defense of sovereignty, companies and their directors would be denounced internationally and penalized with perpetual disqualifications from operating throughout the geography of the Argentine Nation.
The way forward would be for the Argentine Foreign Ministry to activate international alerts before the PDAC ( Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada ) and other mining forums to denounce Warrah Resources and its investors.
A Territory for Sale
The British colony seeks not only to consolidate its "economic self-sufficiency" but also to expand it through the sale of resources that do not belong to it. Today it is diamonds and gold; first it was fishing resources, and then, especially, the ongoing oil development and exploration of precious metals and diamond deposits.
