The construction of the Malvinas Veterans Museum in the city of Reconquista , province of Santa Fe , represents a concrete step towards the recognition and dissemination of the history of Argentine sovereignty in the South Atlantic . The project seeks to honour the memory of those who participated in the Malvinas War in 1982 .
On January 14, 2025 , the envelopes for Public Tender No. 18/2024 were opened, marking the official start of the procedures for the execution of the work . It has an estimated budget of $141,043,425 , financed by the Ministry of Public Works of Santa Fe .
Only the El Litoral Limited Work Cooperative was presented , and now the Evaluation Commission will analyze the offer before issuing the award decree.
It will be located in the Centro Cultural La Estación , in a central area of the city, which will facilitate its access and allow a greater number of people to visit it. Designed as an exhibition place , the museum will not only cover the history and experiences of the ex-combatants, but will become an active center of activities related to the Malvinas cause.
Although specific details about the museum's construction are not yet public, it is envisioned to contain spaces suitable for the display of objects , documents , and testimonies of those who fought in the conflict . The proposal includes conservation areas and administrative offices , as well as possibly a space intended for educational and commemorative activities for future generations.
