The session will serve to ratify the Internal Regulations and to proceed with the planning of the first and immediate testing measures.

This Thursday, June 18, at 2:00 PM, the session hall of the Tierra del Fuego Legislature, located at San Martín 1431, will be the setting for a decisive institutional step for the province . At that time and place, the Special Investigative Commission for the LeoLabs case will be officially launched, formally beginning the 90-day period stipulated for analyzing the administrative framework that allowed the deployment of the British-owned sensor in the heart of the island.

The session, which will be public, will serve to ratify the Internal Regulations and to proceed with the planning of the first and immediate testing measures aimed at breaking the wall of silence that has surrounded the project since 2022.

A comprehensive inquiries on the table

Within this foundational framework, the Malvinas War Veterans Center in Ushuaia —which is part of the body as an advisory body with the right tospeak— will formally present, as a motion, a lengthy and detailed indictment. The document is designed to become one of the main roadmaps for the investigative work.

This technical and legal presentation involves the immediate request for certified copies of files, official notes, computer records, and cross-communications from numerous ministries, secretariats, decentralized provincial entities, national government agencies, and the Municipality of Tolhuin. Furthermore, the document that the veterans will submit includes a rigorous schedule of appearances before the Tierra del Fuego Parliament, requiring testimony from both permanent technical staff and officials from various levels of command, including a specific request to summon the Governor of the province himself.

With its implementation this afternoon, the Tierra del Fuego legislature has activated a key constitutional mechanism. The collection of evidence and the oversight of the inter-institutional network that validated a foreign military capability on our soil have finally entered a public and mandatory countdown.
