Pablo Vassel, lawyer specializing in Human Rights and former undersecretary of Human Rights of the province of Corrientes , will present his new book “Malvinas and Human Rights - History of the investigation into torture of Argentine soldiers in the Malvinas Islands.”
In 2007, Vassel began an investigation into the torture of Argentine soldiers committed by officers and non-commissioned officers by the Armed Forces in the Malvinas Islands during the war, which was later presented in the Federal Court of Rio Grande, giving rise to Case 1777. /2017 opened by former judge Lilian Herráez de Andino .
The book has prologues by the mother of Plaza de Mayo, Taty Almeyda; the president of the Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo, Estela de Carlotto; and the specialist and former combatant Mario Volpe.
On this occasion, the activity is promoted by the Unified Union of Fuegian Education Workers SUTEF , an entity that has been working on the Malvinas Question with the former Malvinas combatant soldier Daniel Guzmán since 2020.
