Prefecture monitors the entry of 250 Chinese fishing vessels into the Exclusive Economic Zone due to strong storms

It is due to the weather conditions that prevail from yesterday Saturday until next Tuesday.

The operation is carried out in a gradual and controlled manner in the face of the forecast of strong storms.

Given the hydrometeorological conditions expected for the next few hours announced by the National Meteorological Service, some 259 Chinese vessels that have been operating in the so-called “mile 201” were authorized to enter the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), with the sole purpose of take shelter from the approaching storm, without being able to carry out fishing activities.
