The CEO of Aeropuertos Argentina, Daniel Ketchibachian , and the Minister of Defense of the Nation, Luis Petri, signed a joint agreement to allocate an exclusive and free parking space for Veterans of the Malvinas Islands War at some air stations in the country.
It will be available starting today, December 12, at the terminals of Aeropuertos Argentina in Ezeiza, Aeroparque, Córdoba, Mendoza, Bariloche, Comodoro Rivadavia and Neuquén.
This exclusive space aims to express gratitude towards the soldiers who fought in the Malvina Islands War.
“Aeropuertos Argentina thanks the Malvinas Heroes, along with the entire society, for their sacrifice and invaluable dedication to service in defense of the interests of the country,” said Daniel Ketchibachian, CEO of Aeropuertos Argentina.
Since 2004, Aeropuertos Argentina has supported the Commission of Relatives of the Fallen in Malvinas and the South Atlantic Islands with different actions that have an impact on both the families and society in general. An example of this are the humanitarian trips to the Darwin Cemetery.
A few days ago, through diplomatic efforts carried out by the Argentine Foreign Ministry, the Commission of Relatives organized the third trip to the cemetery with the collaboration of Corporación América and Aeropuertos Argentina. After almost five years, 140 relatives of former combatants traveled to pay tribute to the soldiers who remain buried in the Darwin cemetery.
The group, made up of 140 relatives, remained there for 9 hours, during which time they toured the place, visited the Cenotaph (a monument in honour of those who lost their lives during the conflict) and were able to have a moment of contemplation in memory of their lost loved ones.
