The Ushuaia Municipality's Tourism Secretariat has launched an initiative offering benefits and discounts on tourism services for veterans of the Malvinas War. The program includes categories such as dining, hotels, excursions, and recreational activities.
The city's Secretary of Tourism, Viviana Manfredotti , stated that Ushuaia "is not only an internationally significant tourist destination, but also a territory deeply linked to the Malvinas cause. A symbolic point from which Argentina's presence is projected into the South Atlantic."

According to reports, more than 70 service providers have joined the initiative, offering discounts ranging from 10% to 50%, which cannot be combined with other promotions . Participating establishments include chocolate shops, restaurants, cafes, museums, tour operators, accommodations, transportation services, and general retail stores.
“This initiative not only seeks to boost tourism, but also to reaffirm the permanent commitment to memory, sovereignty and recognition of those who were willing to give everything for the Homeland,” the official added.
Furthermore, it was indicated that participating businesses will be identified with a sign indicating their participation in the program. “Ushuaia opens its doors, facilitating access to activities and services so that those who fought for our Islands can get to know and explore the city,” the Secretary stated.
The department also highlighted the support of the private sector in implementing the initiative. The list of participating service providers is available on the official Ushuaia Tourism website.
To be eligible for the program, ex-combatants must present their ID card which includes, next to their name, the legend "HERO OF THE MALVINAS ISLANDS WAR".
