The names of the plunder: Galician companies and ships fishing in the Malvinas with British licenses

Lanzal, Grupo Pereira, Pescapuerta, Copemar, Ferralmes, Hermanos Touza and Moradiña; the seven Galician companies that steal Argentine fishing resources with the knowledge of the Spanish government and the Argentine authorities.

The "Prion" trawler and freezer vessel delivered by the NODOSA shipyard in 2025 to the Petrel Fishing Company Ltd., a joint venture between the Spanish Pescapuerta and the Fortuna Group from the British Malvina Islands colony.

The return to "normalcy" celebrated by the Faro de Vigo newspaper has tangible perpetrators . This is not some abstract fishing activity, but rather a group of companies based in Galicia that, year after year, choose to ignore International Law and the legal framework of the Argentine Republic to maximize their profits through organized theft with the usurping power.

Executives of the Petrel Fishing Company Ltd., a joint venture based in the Malvina Islands, owned by the Spanish group Pescapuerta and the Malvinas group Fortuna, during the reception of the trawler "Prión".

The strategy used by these companies consists of operating through joint ventures with capital in the islands to register their ships under the illegitimate flag of the "Malvina Islands" , thus avoiding the sanctions of the Argentine Fisheries Law.

A challenge to Argentine Law These companies not only operate in disputed waters, but they do so by actively violating the national regulatory framework:

1.    Law 24.922 (Federal Fishing Regime): By fishing in the Argentine Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) and in the area adjacent to the Malvina Islands without permits granted by the Undersecretariat of Fisheries of the Nation, these vessels incur in Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing (IUU) .

2.    Law 26.386: This law specifically prohibits companies operating in Argentina from having direct or indirect ties with companies that conduct fishing activities in the Malvina Islands without Argentine authorization. The Joint Venture scheme detailed above is a direct violation of this restriction.

3.    The Flag of Usurpation: By flying the flag of the "Malvina Islands", ships such as the Monteferro or the Argos Cíes are using a flag that Argentina does not recognize and that represents the violation of its territorial integrity.
