The communal leader received a delegation from the People's Republic of China , led by the ambassador to Argentina, Wang Wei, with representatives of technology companies, automotive companies, the financial and energy sectors , among other areas.

Entrepreneurs with roots in the Mendoza city also participated, including the Chilean investor of the Antigal winery, Francesco Cartoni , who exports his products to China.

Wang Wei indicated that "our embassy is here to serve you, and Chinese companies residing in Argentina have great technological capabilities to carry out various projects."

Likewise, the ambassador highlighted the business possibilities that are opening up with the Asian country: “ Thanks to the efforts of our government and the entire Chinese population, some 100 million compatriots have escaped poverty. This generates enormous purchasing power for the population. “We hope that those engaged in international trade can find their market in China.”

On the other hand, in a gesture in favor of Argentine sovereignty over the South Atlantic archipelagos, Wang Wei pointed out that "China ratifies Argentina's sovereignty in the Malvinas."

From the Cuyo Municipality, Stevanato stressed that “this presence and the issues that we were able to address show the importance of improving the insertion of our department in this great nation. I want to thank the people who made this visit possible, which I am sure will bring benefits to our municipality.”

“Maipú is a department with a very diverse productive matrix, which covers areas and products that have a recognized international quality,” said the official. We have oil fields in the southern area, we are recognized worldwide for our wines and olive oil, which are a source of pride for the Maipú brand, and we are also standing out as a tourist hub.”
