Through a Public Declaration released yesterday, the Legislative Assembly of the British colony that usurps the Malvinas Islands from Argentina welcomed “the announcement of a new cooperation agreement between the United Kingdom and Argentina on a series of issues related to the Malvina Islands and the South Atlantic in general, which reflects the importance of collaboration on key issues affecting the Malvina Islands and Argentina, and the region in general.”
Grateful to @DavidLammy for his commitment to the Malvinas through this new UK-Argentina cooperation agreement. MLA Ford highlighted “We’ve been involved throughout the negotiation”, and noted the economic value of the São Paulo–Mount Pleasant flight for the Islands. https://t.co/0r6fvTqylh pic.twitter.com/pFc7ykjUzp
The document published by the Kelper Assembly through social networks, It reflects the mockery of the Argentine people, of our constitution and our laws, with which the government of Javier Milei enables the usurpers to expand and consolidate their colonial position, when by mere signature, without going through the National Congress and in clear violation of Art. 75 of the Magna Carta - as Carlos Menem did first in 1989 and 1990 and then Mauricio Macri in 2016 -; decides to offer the sovereignty of the usurped territories to the English enemy under cloying terms of lies, as to the fact that the Mondino-Lammy Agreement "does not imply changes in the individual positions of the Malvina Islands, the United Kingdom or Argentina with respect to sovereignty or territorial or maritime jurisdiction over the Malvina Islands, according to the sovereignty formula of paragraph 2 of the Joint Declaration of October 19, 1989 between the United Kingdom and Argentina."
“The content of this new cooperation agreement includes the resumption of the weekly Sao Paulo-Mount Pleasant flight, the need to take concrete measures in areas of fishery conservation and improved connectivity for the Malvinas, organizing a visit to the Islands by relatives of fallen soldiers and an agreement to resume negotiations to complete the third phase of the Humanitarian Project Plan with the International Committee of the Red Cross,” states the document of the colonial Assembly.
And adding to the details, they quote Jack Ford, president of the illegitimate Legislative Assembly: “We have participated in all the negotiations of these important cooperation measures. The resumption of the weekly Sao Paulo-Mount Pleasant flight will continue to strengthen our economy, tourism and connectivity with South America and beyond. We hope to be able to announce a timeline for the return of this connection, although this is subject to ongoing discussions with the airlines.”
“Cooperation on fisheries is essential for the conservation of marine resources in the South West Atlantic and the stability of our economy. We recognise the importance of working together to exchange fisheries data, which will help protect the sustainability of our shared maritime environment.”
“We also support the continuation of humanitarian cooperation through the third phase of the Humanitarian Project Plan, which aims to identify the bodies that have not yet been identified in the Argentine Cemetery. The resumption of family visits to the graves of Argentine soldiers in the Malvinas provides an opportunity for grieving families to pay their respects.”
Finally, highlighting its true objectives, which it has been pursuing since 1982 to date, the Kelper Legislative Assembly says it is “committed to participating constructively, always defending the self-determination and wishes of the people of the Malvinas Islands” as an ulterior goal to achieve its objectives as subjects of the empire.
