King Charles III of England sent a message to Chileans for their National Holidays

It was yesterday, September 18, when Chile commemorated the 214th anniversary of the First Government Junta. In addition, the British Embassy in Santiago announced that 5% of the inhabitants of Malvinas are Chilean.

King Charles III of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland sent a message of greeting to Chileans on the occasion of the celebration of the National Holidays , through a text in which he also congratulated President Gabriel Boric.

The British monarch used his X account to spread the message to the president and the citizens of Chile, on which occasion he praised “ the bond between our nations.”

“Dear Mr. President, while you and the Chilean people celebrate your Independence Day, my wife and I have the great pleasure of extending our most sincere congratulations to Your Excellency and the people of the Republic of Chile ,” says the header of the text posted by the king.

In another paragraph, Charles III added: “I hope that our countries can continue to work closely together on important global issues, whether it be peace and prosperity, or the environment and climate change, for the benefit of our future generations.”

In another message posted on X by the British Embassy in Santiago , it recalled that 5% of the population of the Malvina Islands are Chilean citizens.
