Professor Pablo Wehbe of the National University of Río Cuarto and member of the Malvinas Observatory published a video for the 192 years of the British usurpation of the islands of the South Atlantic . Among other relevant aspects of the Malvinas Question , he denounces the presence of British colonialism in the southern regions that legitimately belong to Argentina .
Wehbe also points out that Britain is one of five countries that should act as a guarantor of international peace according to the provisions of the United Nations , but at the same time, through its illegitimate occupation , it violates UN norms , principles and resolutions , militarizing the area with NATO support.
In the video posted on social media, the teacher points out that “ on January 3, 1833, London expelled the Argentine population from the Malvina Islands, ordered the authorities of Pinedo to lower the Argentine flag and from that date, with the sole interruption of the events of 1982, the United Kingdom confuses legitimacy with permanence .”
“ The United Kingdom remains on these islands in violation of international norms, in violation of history, in violation of law ,” Wehbe said.
With indisputable precision, he adds that " what is outrageous at this point in history, already close to 200 years of usurpation in the 21st century, is that a situation of unacceptable colonialism continues, which conceals the true intentions of the United Kingdom, which are the control of the South Atlantic, fishing, hydrocarbon resources and of course mineral resources, as well as bioceanic control and the projection towards Antarctica ."
" Once again we denounce the presence of the United Kingdom in the Malvinas, San Pedro and Esquivel Islands, once again we see with deep concern that the Argentine government privileges other issues and prioritizes other interests before the defense of sovereignty ," said the specialist.
Pablo Wehbe is an Adjunct Professor by Competition in the subject International Law , in the Teaching of Legal Sciences degree, and in charge of the Public International Law , Criminal Law I; in the Theory of International Relations at the Faculty of Human Sciences , National University of Río Cuarto ; from where he promoted the academic approach to the Malvinas Question and then extended it to the National University of Villa María , through the Malvinas Observatory of which he is a part.
