The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade, and Worship of the Argentine Republic is pleased to announce the opening of commissions for Mandatory, Periodic, and Ongoing Training on the Question of the Malvinas Islands, aimed at all public employees in the three branches of government, as established by Law 27,671.

For the update of the contents of the training, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has worked together with the National Directorate of Training of National Public Administration Personnel, of the Secretariat of State Transformation and Public Function, under a rigorous and comprehensive approach, in accordance with the General Guidelines originally approved for its implementation.

The commissions will address, from a federal, updated and multidisciplinary perspective, the historical, geographical, legal, environmental and political aspects that support the Argentine claim to the Malvinas Islands, South Georgia, South Sandwich Islands and the surrounding maritime spaces and will provide state agents with fundamental tools for knowledge and defense. of our sovereign rights.

The training will be delivered online and self-managed, through the National Personnel Directorate platform ( https://campus.inap.gob.ar ), with a total workload of 20 hours. 

All persons serving in the Executive Branch and the decentralized and autonomous entities under its jurisdiction are invited to register and actively participate in the committees.

Likewise, it is reported that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working in coordination with representatives of the National Legislative and Judicial Branches to adapt and implement the course on their respective virtual platforms, with the objective of ensuring full compliance with the law in all three branches of government. Additionally, assistance is being provided to the provinces that have signed up for the training—through the passage of the corresponding provincial laws—so that they can take the course in their jurisdictions.

Finally, it is worth highlighting that this training represents a key tool for consolidating a sustained and cross-cutting State policy and strengthening the commitment to defending Argentine sovereignty over our southern territories.
