The Tierra del Fuego government will provide the Malvinas training in Tucumán, which is not provided in its district.

The Melella government met with officials from Jaldo to implement the mandatory training on the Malvinas Question, which is not provided in their own province. The Tierra del Fuego government's approach to the administration, which is more aligned with Javier Milei, reveals the loss of direction regarding the necessary defense of sovereignty in the face of libertarian surrender.

The meeting between officials from Tucumán and Tierra del Fuego, the precise application of the saying: "Tell me who you hang out with and I'll tell you who you are."

The Minister of Government and Justice of Tucumán, Regino Amado, and the Secretary of the Malvinas Islands, Andrés Dachary, discussed the implementation of the Law on Training of the Three Branches of Government on the Malvinas Question .

However, the province of Tierra del Fuego itself , which contains within its jurisdiction the Malvina Islands, the archipelagos and the maritime territories of the South Atlantic usurped by Great Britain, does not implement such regulations .

The most evident contradiction in the approach to the Tucumán administration is that , in just one year, the Tierra del Fuego government went from leading the league of governors opposed to Javier Milei's administration and threatening to cut off the gas supply; to praising the defense policies pursued by Luis Petri; and now associating itself with the greatest exponent of libertarian governments, who neither denies nor repudiates Milei's admiration for Margaret Thatcher nor for proposing the "self-determination of the Kelpers." A pro-British approach that completely distances itself from Argentine interests.

In this context, the close relationship between the Tucumán government and Milei's government raises serious concerns about how training and commitment to defending sovereignty over the Malvinas Islands will be addressed, given Milei's stance on surrender and denial.

In turn, the Melella government has shown, since June 2024 at least, a lack of concrete action on the Malvinas Question , which calls into question the sincerity of its interest in the proposed training.

Instead of developing effective policies in its jurisdiction, the Tierra del Fuego administration chooses to approach Tucumán, where Jaldo, aligned with Javier Milei's administration, prioritizes an agenda that tends to weaken the Malvina Islands cause.

At the same time, history has shown that unfounded political pacts can result in discrediting issues that should be sacred, such as the defense of Argentine sovereignty.

In a context where historical memory and the fight for the Malvinas Islands are fundamental, these types of alliances— which seem more like a political game than a true commitment —only serve to swell the list of empty and meaningless initiatives , or worse still, in a sense contrary to the sovereign interests of the country .

This scenario evokes memories of previous situations, such as the relationship between the former governor of Tierra del Fuego, Rosana Bertone, and the government of Mauricio Macri , in favor of political conveniences and in support of a presidency that signed the humiliating "Foradori-Duncan" agreement.

In that previous administration, Bertone - behind his true relationship with Mauricio Macri - maintained a rapprochement with Sergio Urribarri when he was governor of Salta , and they aligned themselves with the de-Malvinizing Macri regime , which was detrimental to the cause.

In the current case, Dachary and the Tierra del Fuego government are meeting with officials from Jaldo , the most libertarian of Argentine governors, to launch a Malvinas training program that, surprisingly, the Mella government has not yet implemented in Tierra del Fuego.
