It has a flight autonomy of almost six hours and is functional in search and rescue tasks.

The aircraft marks a milestone in Tierra del Fuego aviation , being the first of its kind assembled in the province . The event was held at the Aeroclub of Tolhuin , where the STOL Javron PA-18 was presented, an aircraft that stands out for its ability to operate in unprepared terrain .

This unique aircraft is led by Guido Pérez Righentini , pilot and owner of this model specially designed for short takeoffs and landings , which makes it a valuable tool for various activities in the region .

Although its main use is private , Pérez Righentini stressed its potential usefulness in rescue situations, exploration and reconnaissance flights in areas of difficult access for land vehicles, a problem that is frequently experienced in Tierra del Fuego due to incursions by tourists into nature .

It is a unique aircraft in Argentina, with characteristics that make it ideal for environments like ours,” said the pilot. “I thought it was important for the community and rescue services to know about this tool in case it is ever needed .”

The presentation brought together members of the Assistance Commission , firefighters , rescuers and representatives of the Argentine Army , who were able to see the aircraft 's capabilities up close.

This project was born from my passion for aviation and the possibilities it offers for our region ,” said Pérez Righentini , who carries out his activity under the name “ Ushuaia Bush Pilot ”.

The STOL Javron has a flight range of almost six hours and is designed to carry a passenger and cargo , adapting to various surfaces such as beaches , meadows and roads .

It arrived in pieces from the United States and was assembled by a team of local aeronautical technicians , receiving approval from the National Civil Aviation Administration ( ANAC ) after meeting safety standards.

Its design includes large wheels and reinforced landing gear, allowing it to operate in extreme conditions . It also has windows and a transparent roof , which facilitates search and reconnaissance flights.
