The Governor of Tierra del Fuego, Gustavo Melella , together with the President of the Provincial Directorate of Roads, Ileana Zarantonello , toured the completed work of the Radman Bridge over the Ramussen River on complementary route B , essential to enable the Bella Vista International Border Crossing that connects Argentina with Chile for the second time, in the center of the Big Island of Tierra del Fuego.
The works included the execution of embankments, the installation and assembly of 6 large culverts, as well as the structure and retaining wall.
In this regard, Melella expressed that "it is a magnificent work, very necessary for a step to Chile that has to do with development, with tourism, after so long that it was inactive."
“It is also important to emphasize the great work that all the Provincial Roads staff has done, public servants who have thought about a work and who have carried it out with very high technical capacity, but above all with great commitment. This fills them of pride to them and to us too,” he added.
Likewise, the Governor stressed that " this work is the product of a present State that makes the best infrastructure available to residents to promote in this case what has to do with tourism, development and road connectivity."
For her part, the President of Provincial Roads, Ileana Zarantonello, indicated that “we are really proud to have completed this very important work and also very happy that the Governor visited and was able to be, more than anything, with all the workers who “They participated to make this possible.”
“The main works that were carried out had to do with a chain of six culverts and a large amount of soil movement work underneath them. Unlike other works in the past, in this case an engineering work planned by the engineer José Caldera to ensure the durability and safety of the bridge for a long time,” he explained.
Finally, the official maintained that "everything that has to do with connectivity contributes to the growth of any place, because in this case we are talking about a bridge that will allow us to receive tourism, which is very important for Tierra del Fuego."
The inauguration of the works was accompanied by the Chief of Staff Minister, Agustín Tita, the Secretary of the Malvinas, Antarctica, South Atlantic Islands and International Affairs, Andrés Dachary, the Legislator Federico Greve and personnel from the National Gendarmerie.
